A572 grade 50, 60, and 65 steels are high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels that are commonly used in commercial, marine, and bridge/civil construction projects. As a high-strength, low alloy (HSLA) steel with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, A572 grade steels are highly prized for their structural efficiency and greater strength in a thinner profile than other steel grades. With its density, yield strength, and Brinell Hardness of 135, A572-50 is the preferred grade for many types of heavy-duty applications.
